>>211731590Not OP but you're right. I realized this when I lived in Japan. They take American "fashioning" of things to a worse degree. For example an American may wear a Che Guevara shirt because of fashion but he'll at least will say "capitalism le bad, Guevara cool, therefore I wear it" even if he doesn't understands shit about it or if he only wears it for fashion
Japanese will wear the Che's shirt, dress like metalheads, wear miniskirts with a sign saying "fuck me" in the back, etc and they won't understand even why. "It's cool", "I must wear it because everybody does", and then keep with their daily slave routine. It's funny to see Japanese metal banda acting so hard on stage only for them to bow down and say "oooh arigato gochaimachu" to the public like any other corporate drone
