Semite refers to members of a linguistic group, and has loosely come to mean members of the ethnic groups that spoke said languages in antiquity.
Kemet meets neither standard. There could be a loose claim to modern Egypt on grounds of 'they ayrabs now' but that's a largely cultural distinction not supported by genetic studies. Adopting or syncretizing the Arabic language does not qualify for the standard either.
