btw, it's interesting to know how Arabs perceive Hebrew, since Hebrew pronunciation must have been largely influenced by Yiddish, after all there were no native Hebrew speakers around 100 years ago and it was mostly Yiddish (de facto German) speakers trying to pronounce all these Semitic sounds. Do Arabs feel like modern Hebrew resembles "a German trying to speak Arabic" or something like that?

Tbh it's very sad that Jews stopped speaking Yiddish and all that huge European cultural heritage basically disappeared
I can only imagine Ashkenazis managed to create a huge amount of interesting literature, philosophy etc. which is now only available in Yiddish but no one can read it anymore. Germans could understand the language, but they can't read Hebrew letters, Jews could read the letters, but they don't understand the language

There are a few areas here that people speak yiddish in day to day life. I once found myself in a bus full of ashkenazi orthodox women and men that all speak it between them. its like going back in time to the shtetl

Maybe a few who would get abit secularized further down the path. Ive seen many orthodox people (im unsure of the sect) when going to a musuem here. It was filled with general ancient artifacts and old art work where some depict nudity so not all of them are really primitive

Hebrew and [Southern] Arabic in their writing were like Egyptian: consonant words only.

There were some back n' forth influences with Syriac, Persian, Aramaic.

The "vowelification" for script Hebrew started in the 8th century, Arabic followed in the 9th century through and through.

I am not exactly your targeted demographic
but yes, to anyone that speaks a Semitic tongue natively, they seem to be an outcast, the way they can't pronounce some very common patterns that occur within them, and generally just the way the language sounds mostly is akin to what you described.
For instance, Neo Aramaic doesn't ring to my ears the same way, feels more natural.
Maybe I am biased because I am not your typical "Arabic" speaker.
