Did you have an emo phase in your country? I was born too late to experience the peak of emo but I really appreciate them, they were the last authentic subculture.

Also yes. I had long hair in high school plus I'm a skinny twink with a baby face so it made me look like a lesbian chick. Good times. I didn't wear makeup although I have the classic Balkanoid gypoid look so my huge round eyes looked like I was wearing eyeliner. Loved wearing emo shirts metal shirts etc. I got bullied for it but idc it was fun. I don't have long hair anymore I look normal now and imo teenagers should experiment with their looks as much as possible during those years, they shouldn't try to fit in and be boring just because everything else is considered "cringe"
