To be fair I do dream of simply settling down as a humble pig farmer on some cozy provinical village somewhere in the philipines close to the sea. Mabye making little coin selling meat and growing most food myself for me. Land seems very affordable and hre scenery astonishingly beautiful.

I amonly afraid of old age and illness. Surely such live is cozy but once your body starts to break it's straight death.

That I'm not sure about. As I understand it it's is a numbers thing. There aren't nearly as many people going to the south cone as there are going to SEA, so you need to know spanish since you can't just live among a big expat community. Also most expats probably just want someplace exotic and the south cone isn't exactly that. It's also a bit far from everything.
