What does it actually taste like? I love pickled and fermented food and wouldn't mind trying it if the occasion arose.

We don't have it here sadly
I can barely find any canned fish products despite our diet consisting of fish and rice mostly cause we just eat either fresh or dried dish
We do have dried fish which smell but I have adjusted to the smell and can appreciate it

taste wise it would be best compared to pickled or fermented, but it got that special sting to it that you cant get in other ways. hard to describe, its a thing you must experience. its nothing like the smell thats what turn people off from it but once its gone the taste of it is pretty comfy.
t. lover of our local rotten fish tradition, not quite the same as the swedish but still very close.

Ew. I would never eat something like this. I want my food to be actual food. This? This is just a set of proteins. You are wasting your ability of taste by eating something like this
