>>211802789 (OP)>Japan was fucked, Brazil was not>Brazil needed immigrants, everyone hated Nips>Nips came to Brazil>They were hated>They thrived anyway, due to their farming techniques and generational skills iirc>They became rich due to their diligency and businesses>Years later: Brazil is fucked, Japan is thriving>Nips don't wanna work in factories or cleaning poop, time to look for immigrants>"Urdur, didn't we send a ton of Nips to Brazil or something">They called Nipzilians>"Wtf, these Nipzilians are more Hue than Nip">They were hated>They didn't thrive, but did form their own Portuguese speaking communities and affected Japan in their own way through music and other stuff>Some of them are working to come back to Brazil, where they, ironically, are called JapaneseMany talk about the feeling of not belonging to either country due to the contrast between them in many ways, but most say Brazil treats them less worse than Japan because people here will call you China or Japa but they will treat you like normal in general, in Japan however: YWABAG (You Will Always Be A Gaijin)
Or at least that's what I've read and heard about it.
Fun fact: During WW2, Nipzilians were repressed by the Dictator, due to Brazil staying neutral in war but more aligned with the US and such, while many Nipzilians were rooting for Japan. So, this happened:
>Shindo Renmei (Japanese: 臣道連盟, League of the Way of Emperors' Subjects) was a terrorist organization composed of Japanese immigrants. It was active in the state of São Paulo, Brazil during the 1940s.[1] Refusing to believe the news of Japan's surrender at the end of World War II, some of its most fanatic members used violence against those who did surrender. Shindo Renmei killed at least 23 people, all of whom were Japanese Brazilians, and wounded 147 others.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shindo_Renmei
