there's no spoiler tags on int so i dont want to post any spoilers but for all intents and purposes the whole 'painters vs writers' thing exists to make the world feel bigger, more grounded. writers in fiction sometimes write in stuff that's happening in the world outside the main location/story that is totally unrelated to it or only has a negligible impact and i find that it makes the world feel more real if you feel there are things happening unrelated to the main plot in parallel to it.
of course they can make an amazing squeal and prove me wrong im just saying it's unlikely. imo if you make a good game leave it and never touch the IP again, only 'remaster' to solve compatibility with new software/hardware but change nothing.
