Most of law enforcement and military personnel in Turkey are gamblers and alcoholics. Some of them use drugs too. That makes them prone to taking bribes and stealing. Every month few of them killing themselves. Happens in your country too?

i know that turkish police doesn't ask for bribes and turkish people who go abroad in eastern europe/ ex soviet countries say that police there asks for bribes

police chiefs, gendarmerie and customs officers all taking bribes especially for protection for someone, letting escape or playing three monkeys with some crime/criminal and solving a case. low rank police officers, not much.

If they take your tech device like laptops/phones, or cash they steal it(or part of it like gpu or cpu) then say it's lost etc. there was an anon in /tr/ said his laptop never returned after 10 years.
