college and high school doesnt really translate to us so i ignored them

Never done drugs, or been a partier. Don’t watch much anime but I’m not against watching some. I would’ve bought a house last year if I was sure I want to stay in this city, and I’m thinking of buying a new car. Most of my issues are that i am a hopeless romantic and i want a wife and kids in a world where a lot of women are whores and it is hard to trust any of them

When I think job I am thinking about FTE stuff, I worked a little part time in high school and college for tutoring and did internships
But no real work experience right now. Technically it's med school so my experience is rather common

Growing up it was never any interest of me due to the stories of its harmful effects, the smell, and the type of people that would do them. Always black or mexcrement types that would talk about it at school, or homeless you would hear about on some sort of drug. I see druggies as losers. Always been a frugal person so drugs are alcohol dont seem worth my time in that regard as well

I heard a lot of mixed opinions about drugs in the USA. Some people associate them with the poor and the homeless. Some people associate them with rich kids. I looked up the Pew Research Center statistics and a whopping 50 percent of people have admitted to trying illicit drugs at least once in their life, which is crazy. I've been existentially terrified of American society since this revelation because I have never even drunk alcohol or smoked once in my life.

I am friends with a Hispanic girl (probably the only American who is actually my friend, everyone else is awkward as fuck). She attributes druggie behaviour to both poor people and "rich kids" which is very confusing and it sounds like she's projecting because she is from a supposedly poor family but studying in a rich kid school.

I feel so miserable all the time and its all because I dont wanna go back to normal work grind

I think there is some truth to poor and rich people both being associated with drugs, at least there are stereotypes of rich people doing cocaine, or rich kid acting rebellious and using daddies money for drugs. From my experience most druggies I know are poor and/or stupid, but maybe they just tend to be more open and talk about it more. If she is from a poor background she probably experienced it a lot from family cousins or friends, and maybe found people doing it at the rich school too.
