The computer you are using is using a chip that was made by a machine that is made by a Dutch company. Do you love the Dutch in your country?

Chips design is not very hard compared to manufacturing, it's mostly about software support. Apple were very quickly able to design great chips because they have full software support. The next big thing is AI, so many chips in the future will only need to be able to run AI models. That means that software support won't be very important for many future high value chips.

Thats just pattern braining too hard. Several big companies in the GPU space have died off or got absorbed by other companies. AMD was gonna a crater if Zen1 was a dud akin to Bulldozer. They made the 14 series as cope, in a space as competitive as this fucking up too much isn't a luxury they can take

Intel's issues mainly stems for manufacturing. Having an overly complex ISA (x86 compared to ARM) probably doesn't help either. Although TSMC has been able to design AMD's x86 chips so it's probably mostly about manufacturing.

no. be chinese or indian engineer, make good products when you have the tools for it. be the same engineers, make crap products when you dont get the tools to do it properly. how is this relevant to the nationaluty of the workers? its such a common issue in mass producing cunts like china, its even a trick there to rig a fake factory just for the initial production deal to be signed just so they can show of how modern and well developed they are, but the actual product is mass produced in some shed with none of the quality control.

and its a thing for car parts, lots of euro or us small parts is made in china under whatever brand and its usually ok since its done under oem specs and quality control. but when that quality inspector clocks out the whole factory goes into overdrive and they spit out the same parts in temu quality and a different brand.
the whole corporate idea of china has never been to make quality, just to spew out products and get paid. if they make a crap product, spew out more of it so it drowns in the market and none notice.

ASML wants to sell the machines to Mainland China. Only the US is stopping it.
Few years back they had a spy stealing secrets, Americans immediately pointed to China. Turns out it was a Korean.
ASML have stated to not have any problems with China, because they know they can't even copy the machines anyway.

Yeah if you wan good specs you pay for it, you want to be cheap or intentionally eant slip you can get it by shopping for a other Chinese vendor. That comes with the territory of being a large manufacturing state.

>they know they can't even copy the machines anyway.
Still extremely risky since you dont need a 1:1 copy to get the fully utility kff that piece of espionage.

How many times has happened, a country has some tech and it's convinced no one else will ever be able to replicate it.
We'll see how long that will last.
