4chan has been dying for years, look at the posting rate. It doesn't create any noteworthy memes anymore. Lots of oldfags moved on to twitter or discord. The only thing 4chan has for itself is anonymity.

it's insane how much 4chan influenced the internet and especially zoomer (and genalpha slang) more than any other site really. In decades hence historians will study the 4chan archives for its linguistic relevance.
