The philosophers in Athens laughed at Paul when he announced the ressurection of the dead.
The finest Christian thinkers were fully aware of this, but this is not the point.

Consider the love of a mother for her child: does the mother need to be a PhD in theoretical physics in order for her love to be valuable?
