Worse than that, we have (had) a whole political class that used to pretend being "gaullist" and taking inspiration from De Gaulle a good 50 years after his own policies were even relevant. And even worse than worse, there are still politicians who now openly and ridiculously suck on Le Pen's clit who claim political lineage from De Gaulle.
There used to be all communists and christian-democrats were part of the Résistance. It was pretty good, many things were done during that short time. Now all that is left of gaullism is wanting to kick Algerian ass.
