Yes and you're shamed for not working outside of your working hours (you get called lazy)

unironically not working is the fastest way to die. I know many pensioners who health deteriorated suddenly after they retired.

I've got enough money to never work again. I'm 26 (firstoid on holiday) and do think when I'm 35 I'll drop down to 1-2 days a week but I have no plans on stopping entirely.

What do you actually expect to do with your time instead? Unless you're really dedicated it's a one way ticket to mental illness, depression and meaningless.

If you hate your job the problem realistically isn't all jobs but your job in particular, lots of them are interesting and satisfying but I know how much some suck from past experience.

>employed
wish i wasn't working, wish i had more free time to do my hobbies/projects around the house and other activities

>unemployed
no money to do the hobbies or projects that I enjoy and also no motivation because looking for a job

and so the cycle repeats.

Study.

All of the great minds in history only came up with stuff because they were bored

if you have friends and hobbies you don't need work to fill out your time

Ok, but I hope you're already doing this right now. People already struggle with this in uni, it is considerably harder to commit if you don't even need to be there.

I've got friends, one close, 5 regular and endless who I might go out clubbing with or whatever. But what do you think they do during working hours?

I've got hobbies as well but they're physical so you can only do them like 2-3 hours a day at max and at this point it would be more like a job.
