This is false. I work in finance & there was a well known PM at fFdelity who wrote a rage-paper right before he retired in like 2014 about Putin & his actual net worth. $200 billion is chump change. The PM boomer who wrote the paper did like a year of research after the annexation of Crimea using Fidelity's tools & whatnot & he provided evidence that Putin is by far the richest man in the world. A lot of Putin's wealth is hidden & it took him a long time to find it all. I think the figure was around $600 billion of what he could find, but also wrote that it was probably 10-15% more.
