I'm assuming this map doesn't differentiate between business and tourist visas for Canada. Canadians don't need a visa to come here in fact the border used to be completely unguarded before 9/11) so I'm guessing these are work visa applications.

I had to visit London to get a VISA because I got caught speeding 8 years prior, a nice black lady interviewed me and made sure i wasnt a serial killer

It always seemed weird to me that, at least in the past, the US and Canada never had a schengen-style free movement zone. I get not having one nowadays though.

It’s just countrywide paranoia. My friend’s dad works for an international company and had to manage their factory in Jordan. He’s German. But when he visited the US on a business trip, the passport control people took him to a separate room and questioned him for like 3 fucking hours because they saw a stamp with some arabic on it in his passport.

It's mostly the Canadian government that doesn't want that. Salaries are higher here and if there was a free movement zone Canada would see a lot of brain drain. More Canadians move here than vice versa despite us having 9x the population
