I don't think there is any city that does all of these well. I personally found the public transit system of Amsterdam somewhat underwhelming and it is not comparable in scale to cities like New York or Toronto anyway. The infrastructure is good for cycling but it helps that it is flat and the city is not that big. Wiki says that Amsterdam public transit operator operates ~240 buses. For context the local operator here has the fleet around 1400 with more than 1000 buses operating at peak hours. New York MTA has almost 6k buses, that is again a completely different league. I think cycling works in smaller cities and towns and that is my experience here in Hungary. You can bike there because there is less traffic. But I don't like when they close down an already crowded area so 2 people can go through an hour. Its like these people move into a large city then try to turn it into a small city

Because summer is so short, drivers never get enough pushback from the police about giving cyclists space. Therefore cyclists are given zero respect in the brief window where conditions are suitable for them to be out in significant numbers. I love to bike in the city and the country. I use a mirror and always let cars pass unless it's dangerous to do so, like around a blind corner. Thanks to a little common sense and courtesy I've never, ever had a problem with someone in a car. Some people really seem to hate cyclists but I don't think it really translates to real danger on the road. I had to stand witness regarding two traffic accidents. Both cases involved a cyclist and in both cases the cyclist was at fault.
I don't even mind bicycles. I think cities should be designed for actual people instead of metal coffins. But many cyclists don't seem to consider themselves as actual traffic participants and do whatever they want.
Doesn't help that you don't need any kind of license to drive a bike.

I realized something while visiting the USA several times over the years. The reason Americans hate cyclists so much is because the cyclists are American.
I have never seen such awful riders anywhere else but they match a lot of the drivers so it makes sense.
Plus the complete lack of bicycle infrastructure forces them out in the road.
Here you rarely see cyclists on the road. Our bike lanes are everywhere and are mostly separate from the roads.
