This thing is such abysmal dogshit. The heads break after like 8 uses and then you need to buy a 4-pack of new ones for like 50 EUR. Literally a planned obsolescence scam like they had with Volkswagen those years ago. Fuck you Germany.

Anon it's hard to cut yourself with these that's why they're called safety razors. And even if you somehow do cut yourself it's literally a small dot and doesn't even hurt and you can't even see it after finishing and especially the day after. It also gives you a much closer shave than cartridge razors and electric razors. It's the cheapest and most effective way to shave. The only think better is a straight blade used by barbers but obviously people would cut themselves with those. And you don't even need fancy oldschool shaving cream just buy any cream or gel you want. Everything else is a huge scam I honestly don't get why people invent all these new expensive things for something so simple

I use a Braun All-In-On that I bought on Amazon for €22. Worked great now for four years. If I need a clean shave I use a normal disposable 3 blade razor from Lidl. 20 pack for €5. No razor burn or anything with that.
Does a perfect job on my hair, beard and pubes. Nothing to replace, always work, the different "heads" or what you wanna call them are great.

the advantage of the oneblade is that it shaves pretty close (still not as close as a razor), is trivial to clean and doesn't require any maintenance.

How close? The beard trimming tool gets it down to skin level on me. Not razor smooth but close enough to not show any stubble and my beard is pretty thick haired.
And for cleaning/maintenance, just brush off the heads with the included brush when done.

I never really understood those other expensive shavers. They never seem to do anything new, just cost more.

240 kr for the shave plus treatment and 100 kr for the hair trim when it's needed (I keep my hair pretty short so it's not a lot of work). So around €22-ish maybe?
Which is far less than a single work lunch so for me it's way worth it.

Man you guys really get ripped off. Is there no competition among cafes and restaurants over there? A really large and well made breakfast here is only half that amount, same with a lunch. Dinner is where it gets pricey however, a really good steak restaurant will charge about €70 for a proper steak for example.

Get a Merkur and some feather blades, that shit is the best. Then watch videos on how to use it (essentially since you can cut yourself if your technique is shit). It took me about 2 weeks to get competent and about 2 months to really master it, so now I end up unbelievably smooth.

Also, you need post shave balm. Because of how close the razor goes, it takes off a tiny layer of upper skin (which is normal, same as regular exfoliation) and the balm helps give back moisture and heals it better.
