Didnt really have space to store or prepare them
None of the restaurants we went to had any either
It was really quite amazing how difficult it was to find green food
Had to go to a French restaurant when in Ghent for a salad to help with digestion after that trip to Amsterdam

you could have gone to a supermarket for some salad and make a light sandwish or eat it with something that can be served cold like canned fish
doesn't need anything besides cutlery and a plate, but i don't know what your situation was. presumably a hotel hopping tourist

Yes we could have but we didn't really have the time and our little fridge in our room was too cold
I just kept thinking "the next restaurant will have something" until we were on our way to Belgium
Loved it over there I would move there in a heartbeat but then I'd be a manlet lol

how the fuck does a salad help with digestion?
Anonymous Switzerland No.212008051 [Report] >>212009667
>>212004970
It's not marinated, its fermented. they take the head off and the guts out but leave the digestive gland of the fish in. then they put it in barrels with only very little salt. the juices fromt eh digestive gland ferment the fish and give it a special texture and mild taste, much less salty than brined herring.
