Until the 1990s, most people couldn't use keyboards.

Gen Z is almost 30
They are going to blame everything on gen z for the next decade like they did with millennials until they realize gen alpha not only exists, but are only a few years away from being in college

>GenZ losing ability to use a keyboard
Let me guess, they mean that GenZ can't do 10 finger tipping, right? News flash, the majority of people only uses the 2 finger tipping technic anyways.

Also this. You can look up most news about GenZ and compare them to news about Millenials and they will match 1 to 1.

Speech to text is crazy good nowadays, there's also lots of work on tech to use hand gestures as input, all that plus agentic AI means mouse and keyboard are on the way out

all slower and less efficient than simply typing things with a keyboard for significant amounts of text(i.e. any work that involves text)

Literally how? I was never taught the “proper” typing technique and just naturally started using it after typing a lot.

You're more the exception than the rule I would say. Personally I just learned it, so I can write without looking at the key board and because it's apperantly faster.
