Have you heard about the Koskela teenager murder? It's a truly horrifying case from December 2020 that sent shockwaves through Finland. A 16-year-old boy was brutally killed by three other teenage boys.

The motive, as revealed during the investigation, was absolutely sickening. It stemmed from long-term bullying, previous robberies, and a twisted "punishment game" by the perpetrators. The victim had been targeted and abused for months leading up to the murder.

The details that came out were incredibly disturbing. The victim was lured to the location and then subjected to hours of prolonged violence and humiliation. This included severe beatings with fists and a metal pipe, forced consumption of alcohol, being urinated on, and even having a firecracker exploded between his buttocks, all of which was recorded on their phones. He was left severely injured and died a few hours later. His body was found by a construction worker days later.

All three perpetrators, also teenagers, were charged with murder, robbery, and multiple counts of assault. They received significant prison sentences, ranging from 8 years 2 months to 10 years 1 month. It's worth noting that in Finland, while adults typically face life imprisonment for murder, juveniles (aged 15-17) can receive sentences from 2 to 12 years. They are usually eligible for conditional release after serving a portion of their sentence, often around half, which can mean they get out relatively quickly compared to adult sentences, even for a first-time serious crime like this. This case sparked intense public debate in Finland about youth violence, the dangers of bullying, and the need for greater awareness and intervention. It's a truly heartbreaking example of extreme peer-on-peer brutality.

What makes this case particularly chilling is the nature of the relationship between the victim and his murderers. They weren't strangers; the perpetrators had known the victim for years, with two having been acquainted since kindergarten and attending the same school. One schoolmate even described the victim and one of the accused as "best friends" in primary school.

What is with le rule of law countries having a fetish for letting minors get away with torturing, raping and murdering people like this? There was Japan with that Junko Furuta shit and now I learn of this. Just fucking drop them in an oubliette instead of protecting them.

Why punish the parents for their kids having a switch in their head flipped and suddenly deciding to torture another kid to death? I mean, even if the parents didn't teach them something as basic as "don't torture and kill people", by 16 they should know this from simple exposure to society.

kids only have loyalty to their parents
one of the murderers literally went crying to his mom and told her everything
they have all changed their names (because it was all published online and everyone knows their names and faces) and the parents have clearly helped them out afterwards
