But if that’s true, you should also also get less of a high from it than a recreational user would (like a lot of people, I discovered that I probably had ADD when I was in college and tried to abuse one of the ADHD meds with some friends—they all got the wild speed rush you would expect, and it mostly just quieted my brain, with no discernible euphoric reaction, although it did keep me awake. I don’t know if getting less of a dopamine response from the meth will decrease your likelihood of habituation, or if the various dirty additives you might find in street crank might be a part of the physical dependency equation, or whether you’re the kind of who’s really just chasing kicks and will end up abusing it anyway. It does seem to be both psychologically and physiologically habit forming for most people. But if you actually have ADHD it will treat your symptoms.
