>>212073935 (OP)I can’t answer your question well, because I am not a Christian, but I grew up largely in the USA, and one of my only actively religious friends in high school ended up joining the Episcopalian church after getting a master’s degree in theology from a divinity school and going through what appeared to be a couple of years of pretty intense soul-searching and church shopping. I honestly don’t have an opinion, but the fact that my Jesus-loving friend landed with your people suggests that it is a theologically serious institution. I’ve always felt like it was a bit weird just because it was born as Anglicanism (a theologically and historically questionable church) without the king of England. But whatever your congregations are up to, it appears to be pretty sincere.
