tell me, when was the last time you did something for your family, your family did something for you and you all worked together for something? give me some actual recent examples
i can give you mine
my second cousin is building a house (got the land cheap from my parents btw) and to save some money the garage is done as "dugnad" if you dont know google it, the meaning and origin of it might shock you. i wasnt even asked to come but i did anyway. you know... family...
i had to get my roof done on my house so through connections (a cousin, again... family) i got the material dirt cheap and i kindly asked anyone who would come for a dugnad this weekend. both parents, brother sister with husband and oldest son came and we went full amish on the roof, ripped it off and buildt a new in 2 days.
my family come from 2 neighbouring farms and most of us live close to it, reaching out as far as second cousins. while only one farm is in full operation today its still a lot of work to maintain the buildings and land and its done as a family thing. when i grew up and we still had livestock the entire family came during summer to help out.
so, what does your family do?
