Kinda. I just watched my brother in law realize his parents are outright refusing to pay their debts and will vacation back to back, on top of him never getting single inherited cent or the family house in question. He's an only child but he managed to lose a guaranteed inheritance race and he has no way to contact them either so he is effectively abandoned too. We all are comforting him for the past week but we think he may attempt to hurt himself so his uncle and my mom are with him while he's on a mental health leave.
