Last company you'd get messages all the time even on weekends, I can think of two separate times I had to go in to do something on the weekend and didn't even get paid for it (yes, really, I did it for free)

People shame me for working too much. It's the norm here to not work and make ends meet with scraps or get le money from le epic rich boomers, so when you overwork, you're ostracized.

One of my colleagues was recovering from surgery and was still getting (and answering) calls from our boss about administrative work
