People here will ask you why you are not taking time off and you can't even work overtime without permission and it limited even if you do.

Honestly think it depends on the company, current one when it's the weekend you may as well not exist to them
Last company you'd get messages all the time even on weekends, I can think of two separate times I had to go in to do something on the weekend and didn't even get paid for it (yes, really, I did it for free)

People shame me for working too much. It's the norm here to not work and make ends meet with scraps or get le money from le epic rich boomers, so when you overwork, you're ostracized.
