The first is a pork sausage made with pepper, kind of like pepperoni, but it taste nothing like it, and has very little spicyness if any at all. And the second is kind of a cheese spread or ricotta.
Both were created by Italian immigrants.

I know it's viewed as controversial in some countries, but I like "pizza Hawaii" (with tomato paste, pineapple pieces, ham and cheese). It's usually number 3 in most pizza places I know, after "pizza Margherita" (just tomato paste and cheese) and "pizza prosciutto" (tomato paste, ham and cheese).
