To make it easier for everyone to visualize the scale, China alone consume roughly half of the world's pork.
In fact, the demand is so high that domestic supply isn't enough, and as a result, they import shit load of pork from mainly Russia, the US, and a few smaller cunts like us.

Chinese cuisine is secretly based as hell. I know it gets shat on a lot because of muh gutter oil and sketchy street food sanitation shit like that, obviously it's a problem in their zerg swarm style city hellscapes, but I've looked into it and they eat a lot of salt (like us) and a lot of piggies (also like us), it can't be that bad. China, Hungary and Serbia are top 3 salt consumers per capita I think.

>In Sweden, meat consumption per capita (50-55 kg in 2022) is higher than fish consumption (30.9 kg in 2021). Pork is the most consumed type of meat in Sweden, followed by beef and then poultry. Salmon is the most consumed fish in Sweden

Goat meat used to be number one basically but is unfortunately unheard of here today, and it's because Tito declared them as "pests that cause climate change" (fully unironically btw) and mass slaughtered them and now we have ten times fewer goats than before WW2 lol. I actually think we eat so much pork now because every other animal's numbers got fucking ubermogged during communism or during the collapse for whatever reason - sheep saw an almost apocalyptic drop too and are still declining. And yet popular history tries to convince us that Serbs ate only pork since forever and it's our national identity... talk about gaslighting.
