My mother is belarusian, I'm half belarusian tatar and it's sadly true. Belarusians see everyone with different skin colour or all their neighbors as "betters" because we have nothing in belarus. I constantly seethe at Poland but desu Poland is multiple times better and I'd probably be a twink prostitute in Minsk if it wasn't for my mother geting pregnat here.
