how the fuck are only we and t*rkey doing it both way, i thought thats normal everywhere? dubbing always sucks, aside for maybe disney/pixar kids movies where they hire professional singers and shit that do all the songs well and localize it nicely, but watching a new movie in the cinema should always be with subs otherwise, dubbing kills a huge part of it

Yes, I've lived here for 2 years and I haven't needed Slovenian in public spaces at all.
Even an 80+ years old looking guy asking me for something on the street switched readily to English when I couldnt reply in slovenian
