Before Crocucks and Serbshits decided to cancel their old languages during the 19. and 20. century so they can untie together by speaking primitive grunts from herzegovina, they spoke languages and dialects closer to Slovene and Bulgarian respectively.
Even today half of the time Serbian last names are just Bulgarian variant +ić

but also if you're going to do this, make germany, the netherlands, denmark, austria, switzerland and luxembourg all one country. also combine portugal and spain, unite korea, unite turkey and azerbaijan, unite slovakia and czechia, and definitely make the UK into a US state.
