I moved to my country's largest city 2 days ago. Still not sure how I feel about it.

no. did a full 360 and left a large city for one of our smallest counties. currently less than 800 people here spread out along a 30km long valley. life has never been better.

It's just very different to where I lived before (college town of about 80k surrounded by corn fields). It's weird to take the subway to get around, it's weird to just walk by historic things or things you've seen on TV but just have them be a regular part of life now? The people are a mixed bag, some live up to every negative stereotype about New Yorkers but others are perfectly nice. Tons of immigrants. Weird how you can go from one neighborhood being all black to 2 blocks over everybody you see is a Hasidic Jew in full outfit. Driving here is insane (I live in Manhattan). I start my new job next week so we'll see how that goes. How is Buenos Aires?

I used to live in Tokyo on my own for 5 years, now I live in a smaller city of 30,000. I will never waste my money inside this shithole when you can basically live anywhere for what it costs to live in a 'big' city here.
