I'm going backpacking throughout all of Eastern Europe in a month, going to stay there for ~51 days. Are there any international sim card providers that support nearly all of eastern europe (atleast the ones in the EU & North Macedonia)

Looked online and it seems like all of the "travel" focused sim card providers are completely price gouging or there's little to no information on them, assumed that there would be a reddit-esque infographic online for all the international data providers but sadly there seems to be nothing of the sort.

tl;dr: recommend international eastern european phone data providers

there aren't any.

hohols, belarussians, russians and other soviet vermin in poland all use lycamobile so they get cheaper calls home but "cheaper" does not mean "cheap"

within the EU you can use a single card because of the EU roaming regulations allowing usage when travelling for the same price as at home.
But as soon as you cross the Schengen border you're at the mercy of whatever dogshit price hike your operator negotiated (usually $.25+ per minute)

just use esims.
yugoslavs are all independent little shites so it's going to be hard to find a sim card that it covers multiple balkan countries or balkan + eu or whatever
the eu has an agreement so sim cards in the eu will work elsewhere in the eu

>just use esims
That's the plan so far, just looking for provider recommendations as the main "travel" focused ones all have some questionable bandwidth limits.
Most seem to not support North Macedonia also which isn't ideal, but I guess I wouldn't mind not having phone service for a few days

I use free wifi spots on the road only if my actual SIM isn't working properly. Why would use pay for expensive shit cards for 50 days only ? Internet ? Come on.

Having google maps/translate is a necessity.

Not applicable to my current provider since I'm not a euro.
