Was there any mention of them finding gloves, knives, a suicide note? The girls should be punished and talked to seriously about how wrong it is to plot stuff like that, but this isn't some cause for some broad sweeping generalization about how fucked up gen alpha is.
When I was in elementary school, groups of friends would sometimes call themselves a "team" with some kind of name. Some weirdo kid hit a girl, and immediately "teams" were blamed. The event was categorized as gang violence and a cop had to tell the 3rd grade class that "teams" are banned.
This is all to say that we're sometimes quick to label the stupid shit kids with adult labels. If a kid draws their teacher's head getting chopped off, is that a plot to commmit murder? Kids love that kinda stuff.
