Crete is a state within a state, the island is filled with illegal weapons from Eastern Europe and the middle East (through Libya), Greece is also filled with illegal guns but it must be much worse in Crete because of their muh traditions
Cretans are involved in many economic scandals of the last decades and I think many mainland Greeks don't like them too much because for a number of reasons, for example their huge egos and acting like they're the best of the best and that Crete is a blessed island kek
