Are Palestinians actually a separate ethnic group?
They seem identical to Levantine Arabs aside from some regional dishes and an accent.

I'm not asking about that.
I'm asking if Palestinians actually constitute a distinct people or if it's pseudo identity that Arabs pulled out their butts in response to the Nakba to validate their nativist claims to Palestine.

I think originally they considered themselves to be part of a wider Syrian group of arabs. People didn't start to see themselves as Palestinians until around the time of the 6 day war.

Palestinian here.
The Palestinian identity is relatively recent, but the name of the region is ancient.
During the Ottoman era, Levantines (Syrians, Lebanese, Palestinians, and parts of Jordan) were categorized as "Syrians."
Levantines in the region identified themselves by the town they lived in. For example, if you were born in Nablus, you would identify yourself as Nabulsi. If you were born in Yaffa/Jaffa, you would call yourself Yaffawi. This is similar to how Germans identified before they unified into one state, when they had separate identities based on their state or town.In the Bible, during the time of Abraham, the land of the Philistines is mentioned, indicating that the term Philistine/Palestine existed long before Israel, according to biblical history. They are considered settlers from Greece, but I believe they were likely Canaanites who mixed with Greek settlers, given that Abraham was able to communicate with the king of the Philistines, and the king had a Semitic name rather than a Greek one. The Roman defeat of the Jews solidified the name of the region as Palestine.

Palestinian Christians don’t actually exist. They’re just a propaganda tool for muzzie ayyrabs to make their movement not seem entirely jihadist even though it is and occasionally some stupid people believe it. Muzzies kill, buck break, or brainwash any non-Jew they can into submitting to them much like they’ve done before in the balkans or africa or india and they use them as pawns. Palestinian Christian is about as real of an idea as Protestant Irish Republican or Muslim Indian Nationalist. Even then those other examples are more believable.

I don't understand where the Jews went. The Jews were sacked by the Romans and then ruled by the Christians. Did they leave? Before the Muslim conquest? When the Muslims arrived did they mass convert or were they already gone? How do Christians cope with the fact they controlled Israel and didn't recreate the State like how the Bible says?

You just blow in from stupid town? You gloss over the last two thousand years? They went to the various cities across Europe and the Middle East. The New Testament was written in koine Greek because Jews went to Greece and further to Rome. The Talmud was created because Jews no longer had a permanent civilization because the Roman’s sacked and exiled them and Jews had to consolidate their oral traditions through court rulings and rabbinic schizo rambling to preserve what their religion was without a temple.

Not sure if you’re a history buff but there were these things called crusades, yeah it’s crazy they had a thing called the kingdom of Jerusalem and these people called templars that fought Muslims over control of the Temple Mount. Ubisoft didn’t actually make all that shit up, crazy right.
Not to mention the whole Byzantine rule of the area until fall of the empire and capture by muzzies which sort of prompted the whole thing.

Well I was watching an interview with a Lebanese, he mentioned two villages as an example and that if the border were set up just a bit North he would have been Palestinian and just a bit south his neighbors wouldve been Lebanese, the villages have a long history and culture in the place but the labels like Lebanese and Palestinians are somewhat arbitrary and I guess thats the case for almost every borderland population in every country, you have to go to the heartland to really say these people are X.

Palestine is part of the Arab nation. The state of Palestine abides by the charter of the League of
Arab States. The Palestinian people are part of the Arab and Islamic nations. Arab unity is a goal,
the Palestinian people hopes to achieve.

this twofold insincere game of declaring indiginity and proudly boasting of their arab nature is tiresome

That sounds a little bit like SSNP propaganda. Sometimes people get obsessed with Palestine and start larping.

There were 7 border villages that had Lebanese people living in them which were ethnically cleansed during the Nakba. The Lebanese people who fled from there were later granted citizenship even though the villages were technically in Mandatory Palestine under British rule. Palestinians who fled to Lebanon live as refugees with no citizenship to this day.
