Only thing I've ever heard of along these lines was Amerindian tribes offering their daughters to rich foreigners deep in the Amazon jungle. I have no idea of whether it's true or not. Read about it on imageboards, so it's probably false.

I think these beggars do nothing but focus all their energy on getting gibs. I was in a park in Delhi about to enjoy a box of pastries before a kid beggar showed up and asked for a bite. I gave him one and immediately five other kids and entire families showed up.
