very peaceful, clean and cool architecture. Every step you take you will find some ancient history
food is nice and i loved bademjan and lavash bread though as a non-veg you will have a lot more options
spend 2-3 days each in main places like tehran kashan isfahan yazd shiraz and stopover in smaller towns

Only if you're well connected and/or are considered/labeled as cheap labor. Other than than, you're screwed and would have faired better if you stayed home or go anywhere else.

spent a couple summers in tehran. It's nice. I loved the wide roads and block style city architecture (something we don't have in turkey). The people are nice and warm. very friendly. Some too friendly they'll go out of their way just to help you. They're a nice people. Surprisingly high amount of secular / atheists. Definitely way more than turkey. Albeit they legally have to cover their hair. I visited the Persepolis. Definitely a sight to see if you're into history. To think alexander and cyrus and xerxes walked those same stairs. Weathers actually surprisingly very temperate. It was rarely too hot or too cold and when it was, gas and electricity is basically free there so everyone has AC. We don't have the same luxury in that regard in turkey. You have to use vpns there for a lot of sites and services like youtube and whatsapp but vpns are not something we're not accustomed to in turkey. Understanding the currency there is difficult. you need to understand that before you go otherwise you might give more money to the people like I did a couple times but they were nice enough to tell me and give back. there's like an official currency but everyone uses another word for their currency and it's like sometimes 10 times less and sometimes 1000 times less than the number written on the banknote.

Do many people speak English there? I was considering going and I know outside of times when Israel bombs them it's safe to go. There's a lot of old stuff I want to see there.

if you stay in nice hotels which are quite cheap they'd know english and young people know it, since its not the language of communication they have weird accents

i went at peak summer and it was very hot nobody is going to bomb you and you are very safe. saw few tourists from europe and russians but iranis are very white looking

I'm not actually scared of being bombed myself or anything. Just that the government will want my ass when things get slightly hotter because of Israel. Does just a regular store vendor understand a yes/no kind of thing?
