4 of my colleagues quit within the last 3 months, two more are looking for new jobs but struggling to find good offers. Pay is below average - although livable - and I'd like to find something new as well, but I only have slightly more than one year of job experience and don't think I'd realistically find something decent.

I imagine it's difficult unless you've established a solid network. And by that I don't mean using Linkedin or talking superficially with people you don't know about how great and "passionate" you are about whatever. I mean people who know you personally and know what you're like to work with, what kind of experience and skills you have, etc. Then it's very, very easy to get a job. I merely mentioned that I was looking for a new job to an acquaintance and a few weeks later I was hired.

Hardly anyone does the other kind. To work in equity research here you need to come from a top school with tons of connections and internships and already be in the process of taking your level 3 CFA exam

Honestly finance is such a shitty major. All the ""finance jobs"" go to accounting people. And finance people end up doing some general back office shit, sales/ banking or getting entry level a/r or a/p jobs

That would lead to doxxing so no I'm afraid.
But it is not Sweden. If it were, I wouldn't dare to call it a shithole

I know it isn't Sweden. Japanese companies respect our universities.

Anyway, you probably should've gone to a university on this list:
