If the order doesn't make you at least $1 per mile it's not worth it. I try to average at least $1.50 per mile. But some people think they can order food from 12 miles away with no tip (so maybe $4-6 from the company is all you get) and then make you drive 12 miles back afterwards because you have to go back to get more food. If every delivery was like that the drivers would lose money.
