Yeah, that's fair. I've heard from a lot of other travellers that the south is basically a different country. I only went to Delhi and it was the single worst place I've ever visited. I still have nightmares about that city.

I've been to India. There is no rich part. It's all a shithole. The "rich" part is tiny and you can walk 100m to reach the shit part. At least Egypt has el Sheikh Zayed which is an entire city that looks and feels first world.

Precisely the same experience I had. I went to Delhi and it was the biggest shithole I've ever been to and I've been to her 30 countries in Asia and Africa for business (including Egypt) . Even ugandan villages were more developed and clean than fucking New Delhi. MAYBE cities in South India are clean but the fact that India's own capital is this. Much of a shithole doesn't give me any confidence.
Also to be fair I never went to Bangladesh, Afghanistan or Pakistan which might be bigger shitholes.

Business trips. Most people in my company don't want to travel to thirdie countries for business so I do it. New Delhi was the only place I absolutely hated and refuse to return. Everytime I went out of my hotel (even for five minutes) my hands and face would feel dirty as fuck and actually were dirty as fuck. I would wash my hands and see so much dirt come off. Everything was full of dust and dirt, even the food. I can't emphasize how much of a shithole it is. The Indian government is scamming it's people.
