I have a live feed of a random street in Tokyo playing on my other monitor. Every time I glance over almost every single person in frame is a westerner. For all I know the few Asian people I see might be Chinese or Korean. This isn't some major intersection or hot tourist attraction either, it's a random commercial street 7 miles from the center of Tokyo.
Is Japan really this overrun with tourists? This seems like it would be hell to live with if you're a resident.

How big of a talking point is this among Japanese citizens? Is there any pushback on the government to curb tourism? I'd hate to see Japan end up like Spain where local economies are entirely dependent of foreign tourists.

Kantou and Kansai are filled with gaijin subhumans during certain periods of the year. You can think of them as earthworms digging out of the ground after rain.

I heard that Japan was looking to (or already has) introduce dual pricing for tourists so that where a native would pay 1000 yen for something, a tourist would pay 2000. Not sure about the exact numbers but it's pretty reasonable I suppose

I know this is already unofficially a thing at some restaurants in Japan. Tourists will be give a different menu where the prices are increased. Some places even advertise this on the door, so it's not like they're trying to hide it (although I'm sure some do). A friend of mine who visited Japan recently told me this.

That’s why I don’t want to go there. I like being the only one of my kind when I go places

Same, but I just don't want to be lumped in with all the rude tourists. When I visited Spain most Spaniards I spoke to would pretend to not know any English until they realized I was American and not British. Once that was cleared up they were happy to talk to me, they're just so sick of the British coming to their country that they make every effort to avoid them. I'm imagining that's what it's like being a white tourist in Japan. The local will automatically assumed you're one of the bad ones.

I don’t go to Spain for that reason. I feel bad for Spaniards, they get the absolute worst of the worst from here.

When I went they were very nice and welcoming.
Perhaps things have changed since.
