Just imagine yourself learning Russian, yes russian, that fucking disgusting, nasty, putrid language. fucking inserting it into your brain. Having that goblin speak inscripted inside your memory.
Now imagine people doing that deliberately to themselves. What have the world come to?

*"I am happy **for** you."*

2. 这 **___ (为 / 是)** 我的妈妈。(Zhè **___ (wèi / shì)** wǒ de māmā.)
*"This **is** my mom."*

3. 他 **___ (为 / 做)** 朋友做饭。(Tā **___ (wèi / zuò)** péngyou zuòfàn.)
*"He cooks **for** friends."*

---

她 **为** 考试学习。(Tā **wèi** kǎoshì xuéxí.)

3. *"We work for money."*
我们 **为** 钱工作。(Wǒmen **wèi** qián gōngzuò.)

---

### **Exercise 3: True or False**

3. 她为妈妈。(Tā wèi māmā.) (Incomplete, needs more context)

---

### **Exercise 4: Simple Sentences**

Blogpost:
I started learning Spanish with a friend and he's been slacking off. We were supposed to practice the language together after we learned the basics and I learn the language much faster. Now I feel bad that I gave up French, but thanks to that I learned Spanish all my free time today. I don't like the soft D though, I will speak with an accent on purpose.

I've started learning russian at an increasing pace, I'm still at the beggining of greek and it makes more sense than it did at first(it seemed like an alien language made by unintelligible malakas, but it's actually decent and kind of similar to other indo european families), and I've also done my first steps in learning hebrew and arabic so I can filter through their psy ops and propaganda more efficiently.

while I expect to have a decent comprehension of russian and greek within half a year, possibly a limited conversational ability, I expect to take at least 2 years with hebrew and arabic until I will be able to read and understand basic conversations.

french, spanish and german are easy as fuck now for me, and while italian seems like more of a rewarding challenge I can already speak at a basic level, enough to get around in italy, I wouldn't need to write advanced level essays in it or anything like that.

Same man, same. But I found that learning French will cost me so much effort, time and focus (e.g. Spanish I am learning in the meantime because the pronunciation is simpler and the entry threshold is lower) that I would prefer to teach Japanese. English is similarly fucked up with vowels, so you probably easier to learn. You should try.

how is french complicated? sure spanish is "easier", but I don't think french is that complicated. you're going to have to work your vocal chords more to produce some of the weird vowels, but polish has it's audiophonic oddities so it shouldn't be that difficult to wrap your head around them

French vowel, mate. Consonants are no problem. Still, Polish has nasal vowels, so it should be easier for me, but combining words, speaking with different parts of the mouth... that requires commitment and concentration that I don't have time for. I learn on my way to work, at work, on my way home, at lunch, etc.
Spanish still has some difficult things like soft sounds, Italian has closed and open vowels, but I can understand the language from the very beginning and work with it. Probably also a little exposure to French does its thing. Even German seems easier to me (and would be more useful to me)

The computer has revolutionised language learning for those with the real desire and drive to learn them
Digital texts, pop up dictionaries and anki are extremely helpful
Steve Kaufmann has talked about how he sees reading physical books as the clear end goal which brings about the most satisfaction but just because it's the goal does not mean you should spend most of your time reading physical books, instead it's far better to read texts on a computer to accelerate your learning
