For domestic use, robots are still in its infancy. But commercially & militaryly, robotics is literally used for everything now. And China is at the leading edge of this and NOT the West.

humanoid robots in general are kinda useless. They are just flashy things for retards to see. Their only use would be letting a human worker inspect if everything is fine, but the robot dogs are better at this one then the humanoids.
There are some interesting humanoid robots for industrial purposes, but they are just fixed torsos. You program them by showing how to do a simple manual task
