If your country's military has less funding then ICE then you live in a deeply unserious country.

MIC corporations charging ICE 10 times the worth of what weapons and vehicles normally cost, all paid for by the American taxpayer, is not an indication of the combat strength of ICE.

why can't we all just collectively agree on spending less on the military. like everybody should just agree to spend 50% less.

every country should be given a nuke first, so it doesn't end up being like african tribes that keep fighting because there are so many AK-47s and they're so cheap and nobody has anything better so there's never a definite winner

funding foreign militaries is still military spending
anyways people should be able to form their own militias, but nerf guns only.

Because that incentivizes the first government which gets power hungry/expansionist/zealot leadership into power to suddenly ramp up their military and bulldoze everyone.
I don't understand why everyone else finds this so hard to understand.
Do you think the world wars stopped just because everyone decided they all agree after some leaders got executed?
No, it was because NATO became a towering cockblock wall that only LoN could rival.
And then almost everyone in NATO except the US got brainrot, stopped being military powers, and started mocking the US for being a military "superpower" but then also mocking us if anyone did something NATO disliked despite us being there.
Until we stopped guaranteeing them protection and magically the liberals all decided to beef up their own militaries to stay in power despite it being ridiculous, absurd, and barbaric just a few years ago.

Most non-dimwit observers realize now that purchasing power is a thing.
It's one of the reasons why Russia maintains more capable forces and outproduces european NATO in arms and munitions at a fraction of its spending. Turkey is another good example, they spend less than we do but have a stronger military and a more robust arms industry.
On the other hand many EU armies have nothing to show for despite spending tens of billions every year.
