Guys, what are some places in Russia worth calling home?
So I've been watching this youtube channel about an american family and they've convinced me to also try moving
https://www.youtube.com/@HuffmanTime

>the south (sochi, yalta, sevastopol, rostov, krasnodar, warm weather palm trees & beaches)
>the north (st petersburg or petrozavodsk in karelia, super snowy & scandavian esque)
>the center (moscow, minsk, nizhny novgorod, the heartland)
>the far east (vladivostok, kamchatka, next to japan and korea, good seafood)
>the urals & siberia (tomsk, yekaterinburg, kazan, krasnoyarsk, lots of wildlife and honest people)
>novorossiya (mariupol, donetsk, kiev, odessa, kharkov, for those who want to live in a warzone)

Lmao all of those "Americans in x country" videos are propaganda to convince dumb tourists to come. Or in Russia's case to make people think they're strong

>The sun is shining, the birds are singing, and Iโ€™m feeling incredibly blessedโ€”with healthy kids and the chance to help others learn English in this beautiful place we now call home, Russia.

Lmao, did they wait 2 weeks for this sunny day to post it? This summer is shit. if I moved from Texas and seen grey shit through the whole months I would go back.

North-Western small towns are comfy but you gotta but no jobs. And even if you work from home, Swift is no more and the connection is getting more unstable every day, not to mention the censorship.

>St. Petersburg
I live in the North. St. Petersburg is a great city, you won't regret moving to here.
>Petrozavodsk
Petrozavodsk is really small but pretty comfy, it gives off that small Scandinavian town vibe (here's a photo of Lenin statue I made).
>Sochi
Idk it's okay, it's the Turkey of Russia. People go there only for tourism and I guess because of it it's pretty expensive to live there
>Krasnodar
Huge village, but it's the most fast growing city in Russia, so I guess it's a good choise
>Nizhny
Comfy city, would recommend
>The far east
Haven't been there, but as I know only Vladivostok is worth of living there
>Kazan
It's nice
>Yekaterinburg
It's a fast growing city, looks like the New York of Urals
My personal recomendation: Kislovodsk. It's small and extremelty beautiful

Would be retarded to go there due to the war. I've been to the south, center and North regions. They are all quiet nice but there is a huge language gap. Not many people speak English so you need to learn Russian. I would go to the south. I remember the sun in Moscow would come up at like 3am. I hated that

Kislovodsk had the skyscrapers or Yekaterinburg? I was in Yekaterinburg for FIFA 2014. It's a very nice city but I don't remember seeing ANY skyscrapers there. Even Moscow is quite devoid of skyscrapers (exclude the Moscow business center) which surprised and disappointed me as I love super high density cities (like those in China or Malaysia). Moscow felt like Montreal of all places.

Yekaterinburg. Anyway it gives me off that New York vibe. Kislovodsk is just a small caucausian town but it's cool as hell
