I'll be 30+ in a few years and right now I spend around 10-15 hours a week rooning, swimming, cycling, or lifting weights, so I imagine mostly that. Seems like a common cope that a lot of oldcels do.

I am only 29 but I spend most of my free time sleeping, listening to music, or staring at a wall lost in my thoughts. The rest I spend doomscrolling image board or watching random online videos. Occasionally I will play guitar but not progressing, just the same stuff over and over or random unstructured noodling.

2-3 times a year I get really obsessed with old open-source roguelikes. I will try to play video games sometimes but can't maintain interest in them.

I read books sometimes a lot sometimes not at all.

I play chess sometimes obsessively sometimes not at all.

I have no physical hobbies anymore besides sometimes walking aimlessly for hours and hours.

Oh yes I forgot to mention also my interest in drugs. It is mostly used in addition to the staring at walls, listening to music, and walking aimlessly.

My preferred class of drugs is opiates. This is not an every day thing but rather every few months I will binge. I only trip a few times a decade, just one time every 5 - 10 years. I will maybe take some edibles once every 3 - 4yrs. And something like ketamine every 4 - 6yrs

I've not been to what's considered the true outback, my car is 25 years old and I don't trust it not die horribly at an inopportune moment. Though I would love to be able to freely travel around camping out wherever I wanted, as you said it does seem like an amazing place to dissapear to.

Saying that I live in WA so it's not difficult to find untouched wilderness to explore which feels like the outback
