It's not nearly as bad as 4chan memes would have you believe, but it definitely has declined in quality over the past two decades.

Quite good. I got a live saving surgery + rehab and only had to pay less than 1/3 of the costs.
>>212446252
I never had to wait for a doctors appointment or treatment in my whole live.

ok, I guess, it could be worse however medicine, as a science and practice, is currently in a crappy state, so it is not like people are getting what they actually need

But in all seriousness if you have something that can't be fixed in ten minutes but isn't life-threatening you'll get a very professional "not my problem" and a referral to somebody who either isn't taking new patients or who retired five years ago and didn't tell anybody.

I would prefer not to say, but it's something mundane, common, and easily treated. GPs say they can't do anything, so they foist you off onto the concept of a specialist except there isn't actually anybody there. You just keep making appointments and getting referrals to imaginary people until eventually you give up and accept that medical treatment doesn't exist and this is just what your life is now.

I don’t go to the doctor much unless it’s something bad so it’s alright for me. Worse thing I’ve done was tear a tendon in my hand. There is a hospital with urgent care, normal care, ER, etc all in one so I went to urgent care and by the end of the week I got an MRI, surgery, and a 2-3x per week plan for physical therapy the next 12 weeks. Not sure of the total cost with everything, but with my insurance the maximum out of pocket for the year is $4.5K and I didn’t reach that so pretty good
