The early punks from São Paulo were inspired by the movie "The Warriors", so we had tons of gangs in the metropolitan area of São Paulo. There was a RINXA between São Paulo (city) and the ABC (region containing the cities Santo Andre, São Bernado and São Caetano). One day they created this punk concert that was supposed to bring punks together so they brought bands from all regions to play. All punks from SP and ABC were there and some moment some guy asked "dont you guys hate each other? why dont you start to fight?" and they all started to fight, and the police came. Everyone started rioting and fighting. Then they had to go back to their homes, but they all were far from home, leading to a moment a la The Warriors where there were tons of dangers every station.
They talk about that day in the documentary "Botinada", you can watch on youtube with english lyrics. It's about the start of punk in Brazil.

The "São Paulo Cultural Center", located next to the Vergueiro station. I don't know how to explain why I think this way.
